Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Receipt Dog ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Receipt Dog is an AI-powered receipt management platform that allows users to:

  • Upload receipts via a Telegram bot or web interface
  • Automatically extract data from receipts using AI
  • Organize and categorize receipts
  • Export receipt data in various formats

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your password
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use our Service.

4. Subscription and Payment

4.1 Subscription Plans

Receipt Dog offers paid subscription plans. Details about pricing and features are available on our pricing page.

4.2 Billing

By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to pay all fees associated with your subscription. Payments are processed through Stripe. You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

4.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

4.4 Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify our prices. Any price changes will be communicated to you in advance and will apply to the next billing cycle.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

  • Upload content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable
  • Upload fraudulent or falsified receipts
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law
  • Resell, duplicate, or exploit any portion of the Service without express permission
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the Service without permission

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Receipt Dog and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

6.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of any receipts and data you upload to the Service. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the Service to you.

7. AI Processing

By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Your receipt images will be processed by AI models to extract data
  • AI-extracted data may contain errors and should be verified for accuracy
  • We are not liable for any inaccuracies in AI-processed data
  • You are responsible for reviewing and correcting extracted data as needed

8. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services including Telegram and Stripe. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. We do not warrant that the results from the Service will be accurate or reliable.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RECEIPT DOG SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Receipt Dog and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using account settings. Termination does not entitle you to any refund of fees paid.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Receipt Dog operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
